Silk for eurythmy dresses
We can use crepe de chine, habotai, charmeuse, silk twill or raw silk for eurythmy dresses. It is advisable to get 12mm or heavier for a dress so it is not too see-through. Also the heavier silks move more beautifully. You will need 4-5 yards of silk for dress, depending on your height, and 4-5 metres for a veil.
You measure how much you need for a veil by measuring from fingertip to fingertip of your outstretched arms and adding 40cm for the drape, and then doubling the total. For example:
My measurement from fingertip to fingertip with outstretched arms is 160cm I will add 40cm = 200cm. Now I double that, I get 400cm. I will need to order 4 metres of fabric. You may choose from one of the following types of pure silk fabric for your veil: Chiffon, Gauze or Habotai; choose the lightest weight possible, maximum 5mm. We will sew our veils on the first day of our first module. If you have joined us later please contact one of the teachers for help with sewing instructions.

Podemos utilizar crepé de China, habotai, charmeuse, silk twill o seda cruda (raw silk) para los vestidos de euritmia. Es aconsejable que el vestido sea de 12 mm o más para que no sea demasiado transparente. Además, las sedas más pesadas se mueven mejor. Necesitarás de 4 a 5 metros de seda para el vestido, dependiendo de tu altura, y de 4 a 5 metros para el velo.
Mide cuánto necesitas para un velo midiendo desde la yema de los dedos de tus brazos extendidos, sumando 40 cm para la caída del cuello, y luego duplicando el total. Por ejemplo:
Mi medida de yema de dedo a yema de dedo con los brazos extendidos es 160cm le sumaré 40cm = 200cm. Ahora lo duplico y obtengo 400 cm. Necesito pedir 4 metros de tela. Puedes elegir entre uno de los siguientes tipos de tejido de pura seda para tu velo: Chiffon, Gasa o Habotai; Elige el peso más ligero posible, máximo 5 mm.
